On July 3rd, Cayuga will reopen the Arenas Del Mar Beachfront and Rainforest Resort in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica. Meanwhile, if you’re missing paradise, you can now stream it live from wherever you are. For views of Playa Espadilla down to the National Park from the hotel’s Mirador Restaurant, take a look below. We hope they’ll keep you happily anticipating a swift return to sustainable luxury travel.

With just a few days to go, we think that July is the best time to reopen Arenas Del Mar and share the hotel’s great experience with guests for the following reasons.
The National Park at its Best
Just a few months ago, the park was crowded with visitors and the word “over-tourism” had come up in conversations. Today, the park has had a “recovery phase” of about three months where the wildlife activities have recovered and much of the beauty of the park has been restored. Now is the time to visit without crowds and it’s easy to do – you can even walk along the beach from Arenas Del Mar to the park entrance.

Hassle Free Booking Policies & Strict Sanitary Measures
Two things that are important to travelers today besides the hospitality experience, in general, are hassle-free booking policies without the requirement of deposits, and flexibility to reschedule and cancel if necessary. We have implemented those policies for 2020 and beyond, and you can find more details on them here.

We also understand that keeping our guests and our staff safe is a big responsibility. With that in mind, we have implemented the Cayuga Safety Seal and have been given Safe Travel Certification by the World Travel and Tourism Council. Details of our implemented measures can be found here.

The Full Package – Beach / Rain forest / Views
No other boutique hotel in Costa Rica has as privileged a location or as varied an experience as Arenas Del Mar. Within the same hotel, you can have a meal with your feet in the sand at the secluded Playitas Beach, hike through lush rainforest, and see the same flora and fauna as in the National Park. Think sloths, monkeys, birds, and more. And finally, the views. You can see the view towards the east on our live cam above and the view towards the west for spectacular sunsets below.
In a time where we’re all traveling less, our travels need to be better. More immersive, more meaningful, more worthwhile.

Close and Convenient
It only takes about 2½ hours to drive from San Jose to Manuel Antonio. This makes it such an easy-to-reach destination and a favorite amongst locals. What’s more, the drives a scenic one – don’t miss the crocodile-spotting as you cross the Tarcoles Bridge.

Cayuga Collection Reopening Update
Senda Monteverde was the first Cayuga Collection hotel to reopen in early June. Then we invited guests back to Hotel Aguas Claras in Puerto Viejo on the Costa Rican Caribbean Coast in mid-June and now Arenas Del Mar will open in July. Kura in Uvita will most likely reopen in late July or early August.

Isla Palenque and Jicaro’s opening dates are not yet defined. While these will depend on the regulations and limitations imposed by the Panamanian and Nicaraguan governments, we have plans to open both hotels as soon as it is safe to travel and operate.

Ready to plan your comeback to Arenas del Mar or any of our other Cayuga Collection Hotels and Lodges? Send us a note to info@cayugaonline.com or chat with us via the website at www.cayugacollection.com.
