Wildlife Season is Training and Volunteering Season at the Cayuga Collection

We started Wildlife Season in Costa Rica, Panama, and Nicaragua.  From May to November is the best way to observe wildlife in and around our hotels.

That means “Training and Volunteering Season” for the team at the Cayuga Collection.  It is the time to learn new skills and give back to nature and the communities around us.  Here are some examples from the past weeks:

#safetyfirst. The emergency brigade at Senda Monteverde is trained to be prepared for any emergency.

.

#beachcleanup. Team Members of Arenas del Mar in Manuel Antonio taking a break.

.

#winesandspirits. Our service teams learn about the Latin American wines that we serve at our restaurants. Mostly organic and biodynamic of course.

.

#deliciousandlocal. Culinary training is one of the most important activities. And of course, it is all about teamwork.

.

#everythingworking. Training the maintenance team is key to making sure that everything keeps functioning flawlessly at the hotels. Heroes behind the scenes!

.

#partofcommunity. We participate in community-organized activities like Sea Turtle Protection Initiatives.

.

#trainothers. We also train members of the local communities. In this case about the importance of not feeding wild animals.

.

#waytoomuchplastic. More beach cleanup. This time at Isla Palenque in Panama. We also invite our guests to join us if they are up for it.

.

#executivetraining. The management teams received interactive training from hospitality consultant Liv Gussing Burgess that came all the way from London to help us up our game in terms of service delivery and luxury.

.

#allteamstogether. We took this training session to three different Cayuga Hotels. Arenas del Mar, Senda and Isla Palenque. Staff members from Aguas Claras and Kura came to those locations to participate.

.

#bondingexperience. Team members from Aguas Claras, Senda, Pasha, and Cayuga Corporate were able to observe a sunset at Senda in Monteverde together.

.

#educationinruralareas. Team Senda volunteering at a local school in Monteverde.
