Most people visit Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Panama when it is cold up north from November through March. The dry season in Central American happens around the same time as winter in North America and Europe. But if you are looking for the most amazing sunsets, you might want to visit in June, July or August. Here are pictures that were taken by our staff (mostly with mobile phone cameras – no filters) in the past two weeks. Enjoy and let us know which one is your favorite.
Kura, Uvita, Costa Rica – Adult Only Luxury Boutique Hotel

The reflections of light in the infinity pool at Kura takes sunsets here to a totally different level. Did you know that Kura is now part of Virtuoso?
Isla Palenque, Golfo de Chiriqui, Panama – Welcome to the Island!

Sunset at Isla Palenque in Panama seen from Las Rocas restaurant. On the other side of the island where the Beachfront Villa Estate is located, you can watch the sunrise from your bed (and go back to sleep if you choose to).
Jicaro Island Lodge, Isletas de Granada, Nicaragua – Your private Island Getaway.

How about an “active” sunset with the Mombacho Volcano in Nicaragua as your backdrop. Watching the amazing colors of the Jicaro sunsets from a kayak or a SUP board is a unique experience.
Arenas del Mar Beachfront & Rain Forest Resort, Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica

Sunset view of Punta Catedral at Manuel Antonio National Park. The reflection in the pool creates a very special atmosphere at Arenas del Mar‘s Mirador Restaurant every night.
