Mother’s Day in Costa Rica

Mother’s Day is a Costa Rican national holiday, celebrated on August 15th and is considered quite special.   This day is when we shower our mothers with gifts, dinners, and anything to show her how much she is appreciated and loved.

August 15th is also considered Day of Maria.   Area churches celebrate the Virgin Mary’s end of her life on Earth and the start of her Heavenly being.

Being that Mother’s Day is such a glorious Costa Rican holiday, many of our restaurants and hotels fill up quickly.   Your mother would have her breath taken away by being part of such a wonderful holiday.   Next year, why not plan a special family vacation during Mother’s Day and create an unforgettable trip to Costa Rica as her gift!
