13 years ago this May, we started this experiment called Cayuga Sustainable Hospitality. We had the goal to find the symbiosis of sustainability and luxury in hospitality. We believed it could be done. John and Karen Lewis from Lapa Rios Ecolodge believed us too, and our journey began.
Now, the Cayuga Collection of Sustainable Luxury Hotels and Lodges has become a group of small independent hotels, resorts and ecolodges in Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Many guests that visit us at one location, fall in love with the concept and are interested in visiting Cayuga properties in other locations.
This made us think, how can we thank our guests for sharing their experiences with friends and for returning to the Cayuga properties?
Often we’re asked if we have a referral or loyalty program – we currently don’t. So here we are –

Cayuga’s first Guest Appreciation Program
We want to create a program for our special guests who show us that sustainability and luxury is possible. Just as the experiences at our hotels and lodges are different, we want to make sure that our program has a different approach too — we want to do it, “the Cayuga way.”

In the coming weeks, we’re going to reach out to you to help us pilot this special program. We don’t know what it will become yet. We have some ideas, but we’d love to hear your ideas too. We want you to be a part of this.
